Pied Flycatcher nest box

Entrance Ø30 mm, front wall height 30 cm.

Frame is 21 mm conifer plywood and roof is 9 mm film plywood.

Opening front wall, steel protection panel for entrance, the back wall has bars to help fasten to a tree. The opening front wall has climbing tracks for nestlings.

The nest box has appropriate equipment for fastening.

Colours: Red, decayed-wood grey and birch.

Fastening instruction

Pied Flycatcher starts nesting as a migratory bird after Tits and often strives to occupy an already inhabited nest box to itself. If needed, the situation can be eased by fastening nest boxes just a bit before the Pied Flycatchers arrive. Fastening height 1,5–2 metres.
