Erakkomaja – shelter for pollinators
This shelter is meant for hard-working pollinators, mostly to hermit bees but also to other smaller hymenopterans. The shelter has a total of 27 holes that are Ø9 mm and Ø6 mm deep. Bees lay their eggs to the bottom of the hole and then seal the hole, and birds can’t peck them easily due to the strong film plywood. Fasten the Erakkomaja to a tree or a wall approximately to 1,5 metres height and preferably to the way sun rises from. The product is easy to clean.
