Smew nest box

Entrance Ø38 mm + film plywood cover. Opening front wall, height 35 cm, climbing tracks for nestlings. Frame is 21 mm conifer plywood, and the roof is 9 mm film plywood. The back wall has bars to help fasten to a tree.

The nest box has appropriate equipment for fastening.

Fastening instruction

The nest box should be placed to a calm place, and it doesn’t need to be located right next to water. Clear flight way to the nest box is important and that there isn’t any sharp rocks or branches to harm the nestlings.
Couple metres fastening height is enough. Put a fair amount of cutter chips or some similar padding to the nest box.
