    Entrance 150×250 mm, front wall height 30 cm. The nest box is half open on the front side and it has an opening front board to ease cleaning.

    Frame is 21 mm conifer plywood and roof is 9 mm film plywood. The nest box has strong eye screws, and the back bars have holes for the bottom rope.

    Common Kestrel prefers to nest in a nest box that is high up, for example barn wall on the northern or eastern side. Other compass points can easily be too warm for the nestlings. Put padding to the nest box and compress it so that it’s half of the front wall’s height.
