Goosander nest box

Entrance 130×130 mm, opening front wall height 60 cm and has climbing tracks for nestlings. Entrance is lower than in Tawny Owl nest box. Otherwise, the exact same structure. Frame is 21 mm conifer plywood and roof is 9 mm film plywood.

The nest box has strong eye screws for the upper rope and the back bars (made of larch) have holes for the bottom rope.

Colour: decayed-wood grey

Fastening instruction

The nest box’s placement has same rules as the Goldeneye nest box, but it can be placed to the ground level if needed so then the female will jump into the nest box. Fair amount of padding to the nest box, same as the Goldeneye.
