Fastening instruction

Coal Tit is the smallest of Tits and a resident of coniferous forest.

The best environment for fastening is a spruce dominated forest, but a coniferous yard fits as well. Territory is bigger than Blue Tit’s and if you want to set up more than one Coal Tit nest box, their distance can be even 100 metres. Coal Tit doesn’t usually nest in the same nest box more than once during summer, so you can set up another nest box near the first one.

Fastening height 1,5–2 metres.

Note! The size of entrance is important, because if it is bigger, Blue Tit will easily drive away the smaller one.
